Function key pop up

When any function key is displayed (eg C for Copy etc) the pop up should appear above the key on all keys, not underneath finger.
In example attached, I couldn't see the pop up on P so thought it wasn't working.
Why it would help
Means you're be able to see the function you're swiping to

This has come up before, see #B42 and #B129 for earlier discussions.
The issue is, that EFKey cannot draw anything outside of the keyboard itself at all. So the space above the keys is limited. And even with the numbers row and the suggestions bar above, the space is just a little bit to short to fit the usual function gesture popup above the accents popup.
The current variant is a compromise we settled on, but any concrete new ideas, you might have on how to tackle this problem, are certainly worth considering.
