Keypress animation.
Keypress animation, if it’s possible to add simple key animation like in yandex keyboard. It looks really good.

@Nikhil.tom Can you upload a video for me?
I have added the video. The animation is really good. With the right haptics, it just feels right.
@Nikhil.tom it's in build 425, and in 2.1.3 on the App Store. You'll find it under Style > Key press animation, right above Key size. The one from your video is Jump, and there are four more: Press in, Bounce, Fade and Ripple. It works on every key; function keys and space just lift a bit less, otherwise the wide ones look heavy. The screen has a live preview you can tap before you turn anything on. It's off by default and it's part of Pro. For the haptics side, Customize haptics lets you set strength and firmness separately, so you can tune the tap to match the jump.
Ohh good, can’t wait to try this out. 🫡
It looks like the animations in preview all look the same except for jump. And on my keyboard the effects also look the same. Iphone 17
Yeah only jump is working for me
What kind of iPhone do you have? It works for me.
IPhone 16 pro max. Jump works. The rest done do anything. In the preview, the test keyboard or in use
Everything works for me except the ripple one. Although in the preview except jump the other effects are pretty subtle.
Yeah actually I’m seeing that now. They are there. Just incredibly subtle
Ripple still doesn’t work right?
I think it does. It’s just really hard to see. If you look closely at the space you can see the keypress spreading out
Either I am blind or it’s incredibly subtle.
@efko is it possible to refine jump? For example in the video I posted the key color changes to a darker shade on press as it jumps.
I don’t notice any key press animations.
iPhone 16 pro, animations are there, I can see all except for ripple.
Jump is obvious.
Press in does shrink the key frame and the letter moves a bit, then returns.
Bounce expands the letter frame (background) and returns, like a pulse.
Fade colors the frame with a lighter color when pressed, then fades to the background color.
Ripple is too subtle for me to see.
@Nikhil.tom Jump now darkens while it lifts, like in your video. I went through it frame by frame: about 8 pt up in roughly 50 ms, and the key drops almost to the background colour. Mine keeps the 10 pt lift and goes a little less dark, because on the glass themes a fully dark key looked like a hole. It's also faster now, up and back.
The other four were simply too small. In the screen recording Press in moved the key edge by 1.3 pt and Bounce by less than 1 pt, and all of them started with the same highlight you get with no animation at all, so they looked alike. Now Press in sinks deeper, goes darker and springs back when you let go. Bounce grows right up to the gap between keys, Fade lasts twice as long, and Ripple has no flat highlight on top anymore, so you can see the circle spread after your finger leaves the key.
All of that will be in build 426, and in 2.1.3 on the App Store.
@MuffinMonster is the Key animation switch at the top of that screen on? In 425 picking a style didn't turn it on, from 426 it does.
Awesome job @efko Its almost perfect 👌🏼
Yes, key press animation is on. I’ve included a video.
@MuffinMonster the video sorted it out. You have Jump picked, but when you tap in the preview the letter bubble still pops up and the key doesn't move. Jump turns that bubble off, so that only happens when Reduce Motion is on in iOS (Settings > Accessibility > Motion). With it on, every style falls back to Fade, which is the quiet one. The screen does say this in the last line, but in your recording that line sits under the tab bar. I'll move it somewhere you can actually see it.
Also, your diagnostics show you type almost everything by swiping. The animations only play on taps. During a swipe they stay off on purpose, so the keys don't flicker along the path.
You're the man! I did have reduce motion on in accessibility. I can see the motions now. And yes, I swipe nearly 100% of the time.
