Horizontal scroll animation in emoji page causes unresponsiveness
Steps to reproduce
- Press emoji button next to space bar
- Scroll fast to the right by swiping left
- Try to stop or scroll back while the animation is running
What I expected
Immediate responsiveness and the ability to stop the scrolling.
What happened instead
The animation keeps running and the scrolling will not stop until the endpoint is reached. Sometimes it works, most of the time I have to put in multiple swipes until it’s reacting again. As seen in the video occasionally it will even stop reacting completely.

@fra-node every emoji that scrolled into view was loaded on the main thread, so a fast swipe kept the keyboard too busy to notice your finger, and that's also why it sometimes froze for a moment. Fixed for 2.2.2, the next App Store update: emojis load in the background now, so a touch stops the scroll right away.
