Newly learned words should be prioritized immediately
What would you like?
When I manually type a word that EFKey doesn’t know and then press space, I expect the word to be learned immediately. However, although it seems to be added to learned words, it doesn’t appear as a likely suggestion the next time I type or swipe it. I usually have to type the same word manually several times before EFKey starts suggesting it reliably.
It would be great if a newly learned word received a temporary ranking boost, so that after manually entering it once, it becomes a high-priority candidate the next time.
Also, could you clarify exactly what currently triggers learning? Is manually typing an unknown word followed by a space supposed to be enough?
Why it would help
Learning would feel much more predictable. If I explicitly type a new word, I expect the keyboard to recognize that choice rather than making me teach it repeatedly.

There are 2 ways
Having said that, I agree with your observation that the newly learned words don't get immediate priority for typing/swiping. They take some time.
Thanks, that actually helped me notice another issue.
The first method works for me in English: when I manually type an unknown word, it appears on the left in quotes, and I can tap it to learn it immediately.
However, this doesn’t seem to work in other languages. When I manually type an unknown word, my typed word does not appear there in quotes. Instead, the left candidate shows another existing word that the keyboard thinks might be a correction/suggestion for what I typed. So there is no way to tap the word I actually entered to learn it instantly.
Should I report this separately as a bug?
Yes, please report that as a separate bug. It is supposed to work for all the languages that way. We will close this one.
