Partial delete of URLs
When I press and hold or swipe backspace to delete a word, currently it deletes an entire URL all at once. I’d like to see an option similar to swiftkey where when a "word" has both letters/number AND punctuation, holding backspace only deletes to the closest punctuation mark in the word.
It would make copy and pasting urls, particularly ones with very long tracking codes, much faster and easier. YouTube for instance adds a tracking code at the end of every link copied from the app, and being able to hold backspace to delete the part of the URL that begins with "?=" rather than the entire link would make it much faster and easier than having to either repeatedly tap backspace to delete a long string, or having to precision highlight the part that needs deleting.

Hi, for the second part of your suggestion, there is already an option to remove tracking from pasted links under LABS. Turn it on and it automatically removes tracking info on URLs.
Yeah I knew about that. And its very handy. But does it also delete things like playlist info in the URL?

I have pasted this YouTube shorts link from a saved playlist. It doesn’t have playlist info right.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work for something like an amazon link.
I just copied a random link from amazon and it pastes like this: <https://www.amazon.com.au/Y1-Lite-Headphones-Lightweight-Cancelling/dp/B0FNQLWCNP/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=nfN4X&content-id=amzn1.sym.ad55d7d6-7847-45f0-8daa-8026b8b25552&pf_rd_p=ad55d7d6-7847-45f0-8daa-8026b8b25552&pf_rd_r=BE1AD3P1N7EJ2794DN2K&pd_rd_wg=aAuWQ&pd_rd_r=e2c2c863-2a27-424a-baff-f4c597327243&ref_=pd_hp_mw_btf_dealz_m1_hw_t1_hxwDSD_sspa_mw_detail&ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9ob21lcGFnZV9ibGVuZGVk>
Being able to quickly delete everything from the '?' forward would be a handy productivity tool if you paste a lot of links.
