Suggestion: Improve Touch Accuracy Between the Number Row and Arabic Keys

New Typing & autocorrect Arabic

Yah TESTER ·

Hey! I'd like to suggest a small improvement to the Arabic keyboard's touch accuracy.

I've noticed that when typing quickly, I occasionally hit a nearby key instead of the intended one, especially between the number row and the Arabic letters.

For example:

  • Intended word: حاجة
  • Occasionally typed: حا0ة

This seems to happen because the ج key is close to the 0 key in the number row.

The good news is that EFKey already recognizes this mistake and correctly suggests or autocorrects حا0ة → حاجة, which works great! ✅

However, I think the typing experience could be improved further by optimizing the touch targets (hitboxes), especially around the boundaries between the number row and the letter keys.

Perhaps an adaptive touch-target system could help reduce accidental key presses during fast typing, while preserving intentional number input.

This isn't a frequent or critical issue, but I've noticed it occasionally during everyday typing.

Overall, the autocorrection is doing a good job of recovering from these mistakes. Improving touch accuracy itself would make the keyboard feel even more precise and comfortable.

Thanks.
