Instant spacebar swiping (to move the cursor on x-axis) like Android's Gboard

It would be nice to have a setting which copies the spacebar swiping behaviour of Gboard, which activates the x-axis cursor positioning functionality instantly on a swipe (left/right) - without a hold delay to invoke it.

Or a setting which lets you adjust this particular delay (including the ability to set it to 0).

It's imo the most efficient/ergonomic way to quickly reposition the cursor within a line of text for e.g. fixing a typo/adding text.
