Brackets in 12 key keyboard

In Gboard Japanese 12-key, typing words for brackets or quotes (or their prefixes, like かっ) fills the suggestion/candidate bar with various styles of brackets and quotation marks. Selecting any of these options inserts the paired symbols and automatically places the cursor in the middle between them.

I would love to see this behavior added to the app.

Desired Behavior

1. Trigger: The user types a bracket/quote prefix or word in Hiragana.
2. Candidates: The candidate bar shows paired bracket/quote options (e.g., 「」, 『』, （）, “”).
3. Insertion: When the user taps a pair, both the opening and closing symbols are inserted, and the text cursor is positioned between them:
   「|」 (cursor inside)

• かっ or かっこ (kakko — brackets / parentheses / quotes)
• いんよう (inyou — quotation)

2. Suggested Bracket & Quote Pairs to Offer

• Japanese Corner Brackets (Quotes): 「」, 『』
• Parentheses: Full-width （）, Half-width ()
• Lenticular & Tortoise Shell Brackets: 【】, 〔〕
• Square Brackets: Full-width ［］, Half-width []
• Curly Brackets: Full-width ｛｝, Half-width {}
• Angle Brackets: 〈〉, 《》, Half-width <>
• Western Quotes: “”, "", ‘’, ''
