Option: swiping backspace highlights text instead of deleting

The option to make swiping left on the backspace key just highlight text. That way you can choose to cut, copy, delete, or paste over it yourself. When text is highlighted, bring up those functions in the toolbar. Or just use the X, C, and P key gestures (or backspace key).
If not, I would still like to see the text highlighted before it is automatically deleted, like with gboard.

@ƓaⱫeƁaᏝ iOS doesn't let a keyboard select text inside another app, so the backspace swipe can't highlight anything. What it can do: while your finger is still down, swiping back to the right brings the deleted words back one at a time, so you can check what's going before you let go.
