Feature Suggestion: Smart Emoji Predictions with Persistent Suggestions After Space

Hey! I have another suggestion that could make typing with EFKey faster and more convenient, inspired by how the native iOS keyboard handles emoji predictions. 😊
When typing a word associated with emojis, EFKey could automatically display 1–3 relevant emojis alongside the regular word suggestions.
For example:
- Love → ❤️ 🥰 💕
- حب → ❤️ 🥰 💕
- مبروك → 🎉 🥳
- ضحك → 😂 🤣
- حزين → 😢
The number of emojis should be dynamic, based on how strongly they relate to the word, rather than always showing three.
One particularly important behavior is keeping emoji suggestions visible after pressing Space.
For example, when I type حب and press Space, the suggested emojis (❤️ 🥰 💕) should remain visible in the suggestion bar, just like on the native iOS keyboard.
This would let me choose an emoji even after completing the word, instead of losing the suggestions as soon as I press Space.
A few ideas for implementation:
- Show relevant emojis automatically alongside normal word predictions.
- Display only 1–3 emojis, depending on relevance.
- Keep those emojis visible after pressing Space, while still allowing normal next-word predictions.
- Once I start typing another word, update the suggestions based on the new word.
- Avoid adding an extra keyboard row or taking space away from the existing layout.
- Integrate this with the existing Scrollable Suggestions feature, keeping additional word suggestions accessible.
- Ideally, support both Arabic (including dialects) and English.
- Make the feature optional through a LAB setting, such as Smart Emoji Suggestions.
I think this could be a really useful improvement, especially for people who frequently use emojis in everyday conversations.

@Yah the emoji was tied to the word you were typing, so the space cleared it. Fixed for build 464 (and the App Store update after 2.2.1): after حب and a space, ❤️ stays in the bar until you start the next word, and a tap adds it after the space. With Scrollable suggestions you get up to three emoji, the extra ones after the word suggestions; it works in every language and is on by default under Keyboard › More settings › Emoji after space.
Hey! I’ve completed testing the Emoji after space feature in Build 464, and everything is working perfectly! 😊
✅ Emoji suggestions remain visible after pressing Space.
✅ Up to 3 emoji suggestions are displayed.
✅ The suggestions remain available until I start typing the next word.
✅ When I type “حب”, press Space, and then select ❤️, it’s correctly inserted as “حب ❤️” without any extra spaces or issues.
All tests passed! The feature works exactly as expected.
