Tamil transliteration while typing do not display anything

While typing in Tamil transliteration keyboard, the text box is empty and whatever being typed is displayed in the suggestions bar only.
Why it would help
It should be displayed in the text box as it is so that it will be more convenient to see what was being typed and like that the suggestions can start showing the Tamil transliteration starting from first. This is how it use to be with the stock keyboard. That seems to be more convenient.
Note: Tamil language is not in the drop down of this portal, kindly add and tag this to Tamil language.

@sbk the Latin letters only lived in the bar, so the field stayed empty until you picked a word. In build 457 (and 2.2.1 on the App Store) they go straight into the text field, the bar starts with Tamil words, and space swaps the Latin for the highlighted word. If you'd rather keep the letters in the bar, turn it off in EF › LAB › Transliteration letters in the text field.
