A “Stock Keyboard Profile” to Auto-Set Spacing Settings

@efko Because the keyboard has added several automatic spacing settings lately, new users may feel overwhelmed while typing or swiping wondering which setting to turn On or Off. Could we provide a “Stock Keyboard Profile” that switches spacing settings to match the automatic spacing rules of the stock keyboard, helping users feel comfortable and rely on their existing muscle memory? Toggles as follows:-
Under Spacing & Punctuation :-
- Double Space Period — ON
- Space after punctuation — OFF
- Space after full stop — OFF
- Insert space when the next word starts — Partially ON in stock keyboard. Space is inserted on tapping suggestions but not on swipe. In EFKey when this setting is ON, space is inserted on both cases.
- Letters after a space or suggestion continue the word — OFF
Under Glide Typing:-
- Swipe to Type — ON
- Backspace deletes a swiped word letter by letter — OFF
- Space before a word after a punctuation — ON
“Insert space when the next word starts” is the only setting that won’t match the stock keyboard behavior whether ON or OFF.

Could you verify the toggles are correct
On stock, space is inserted for swipe when next word starts or on tapping a suggestion on the bar for type or swipe. In the latter case, subsequent swipe doesn’t get the space. So with that on, we match stock behaviour except for the fact that we don’t insert the space on tapping the suggestion on the bar. This kind of makes sense, because on stock, the word swiped won’t be there on the bar at all, there’ll be another 3 distinct suggestions, however in EFKey, middle suggestion is always what is swiped.
Rest of the settings look good to me.
Stock keyboard deletes letter by letter so that setting should be on
No, stock deletes the whole word for current swipe. Only after we hit a space while deleting, it goes by letter. So that setting under glide typing should be off to match stock.

Agreed. Sorry for the confusion!
@OverClocked Typing now has a Setup row right under Language with three options: Like iPhone, EFKey and Mine. Like iPhone switches the spacing and swipe toggles to match the stock keyboard, and if you change any of them by hand it flips to Mine. It's in build 457 and in 2.2.1 on the App Store, and the rest of the options moved to More settings at the bottom of the screen.

The newly added setup under typing for “Like iPhone” matches the spacing and punctuation rules on the stock keyboard.
