Add Telugu transliteration
Anything specific?
Telugu transliteration, like Gboard and native. One types or swipes in English and the text gets inserted in telugu script.
I believe this should be added in general for all the native languages, such as Hindi, Tamil etc.

@ilikered Telugu transliteration is coming in build 452 and in 2.2.1 on the App Store: add "Telugu (Transliteration)" in Languages, type in English letters and space puts in the Telugu word (nenu → నేను, bagunnava → బాగున్నావా), with what you typed always one tap away in the bar. Swipe doesn't work in it yet, that's the next step, and Tamil and Malayalam will follow on the same base.
There are multiple issues.
I’m attaching a picture and video for clarity.
@ilikered the Telugu mode was using the Chinese-style bar, so the Latin showed up twice, and backspace after a word put your typing back only in the bar, where the next backspaces kept eating it. Shift also stayed on after the first letter, that's why everything came out in capitals. Fixed for build 454 and 2.2.1 on the App Store: Latin on the left, the Telugu word in the middle like other languages, one backspace brings the Latin back and the next one deletes text. Next-word prediction needs new Telugu data, that's the next step.
The reported issues are fixed. Just one thing, the Latin word is also shown on the expanded list apart from the one on the left in the suggesting bar, which I feel is unnecessary. Picture attached. Besides this, the only pending item would be the predictions.
@ilikered the expanded list was getting the same list as the bar, so the Latin word showed up twice. Fixed for build 457 and 2.2.1 on the App Store: the expanded list now has only the Telugu words, and the Latin stays on the left of the bar. Next-word prediction is still the next step.
Latin word is showing up on the right now, and that too twice.
@ilikered the new "letters in the text field" mode, on by default since build 457, built the bar its own way, so it put the Latin on the right and skipped the earlier fix for the expanded list. Fixed for build 459 and 2.2.1 on the App Store: the Latin is back on the left and shows only once, the expanded list has just the Telugu words.
Done. Let’s track next word prediction and swiping for this separately.
