Shortcut key to SELECT ALL
What would you like?
I find that the selecting text to copy/ cut is quite clumsy in iOS. One thing that would be useful would be a quick key/ shortcut that would allow a user to automatically select all text in the dialog box/ page/ whatever scope the cursor is in. we can then use the EFKey short cuts for cut, copy and paste to do something with it, but a quick way to select all would be very useful in a keyboard.
Why it would help
This is something that (I believe) is absent from iOS at the moment and I always struggle when trying to select all. It's something I find I do quite a lot so having a quick key to do this for me would be immensely beneficial and would optimise this experience.

@youknowdave iOS doesn't let a keyboard highlight text in another app, so a true select all isn't possible. Coming in 2.2, the next App Store update: hold A and pull down, and the suggestion bar offers Copy all, Cut all and Delete all for the whole field. If you only want to copy or cut everything, holding C or X and pulling down with nothing selected already does it in one go.
Is it right that when using this function, the keyboard scrolls up to the first line, then scrolls visibly over each line and does so until the end of text is read? Or should it just say "wait" until the while text is read/selected? It now looks like its screen scraping or so.
Then, next, I saw this message, why does it say so?
@Ed the scrolling is expected: a keyboard only sees a few sentences around the cursor, so it has to walk the cursor through the note and Notes scrolls along. The warning came from the two empty lines above the 🇧🇷, the reader stopped looking past them. Fixed for build 438: it now reads past empty lines like these and copies the whole note.
@Ed ?
tested: The whole field is taken now!
