Option to not auto switch back to alpha keyboard

I’d love to have an option to stay on the number/symbol keyboard until I manually switch back to the alpha. Or maybe make it more situationally aware. A couple example cases:

I type a lot of time values. When I’m entering something like 10:00 the keyboard switches back to alpha after the colon. That makes sense if hit a space after it but not when I’m still in the same "word". Try it in EFKey vs the default Apple keyboard for comparison.

Also, for many years I have used @@@ as a text replacement shortcut for my email address. There are plenty of other cases where typing multiple symbols in a row is desired. These are extremely cumbersome at best in EFKey for the same reason.

I know that there have to be some trade-offs in how things like this behave so I thank you for any consideration you give this. And if I’m missing a setting that’s already there just point me in the right direction. I really appreciate your work and am overall really happy with EFKey and how it keeps getting better.

That option already exists. I do use a lot, and it seems to work fine for me.

You're not missing anything, the switch is already there: Settings → Keyboard → "Back to letters after a symbol". Turn it off and 10:00 or @@@ stay on the 123 page. Space takes you back to letters, same as the Apple keyboard.

The confusing part was on my side. That switch sat under "Like the native keyboard", and the Native key setup turned it on, even though the iPhone keyboard doesn't jump back after every symbol. In 2.1.3, the next App Store update, it moves to a new "Symbols page" section with a description of what it does, and the Native setup no longer turns it on.
