Swipe delete
@Nikhil.tom:
We have the best implementation so far . Only issue I see is for clear everything. Swiping till the very left edge is very hard
Maybe swipe on backspace deletes word by word, but swipe and hold for more than a second ( or as set by the user ) deletes everything in the field. With an option to undo appearing in the suggestions after everything is deleted.

@Nikhil.tom I went a slightly different way than a timed hold, because people often pause mid-swipe to check which words are gone and I didn't want that pause to wipe the field. You no longer have to reach the edge. Swipe from ⌫ into the left third of the keyboard: the key goes fully red and the bar says "Let go to delete everything". Let go and the field is cleared, or move back right before letting go and it keeps deleting word by word. After it clears, the bar shows "Deleted, tap here to undo" for a few seconds. That's in build 427, and in 2.1.3 on the App Store.
Will test when it’s out.
I have tested out this new feature. It works pretty well.
2 observations , 1 the confirmation message to delete everything doesn’t appear every time.
2nd the undo delete did not appear for me. It always reverts to the toolbar.
But I am so glad you added this feature.
@Nikhil.tom both were the same bug. The bar refreshes a moment after a delete, and that refresh was wiping the message: sometimes the "Let go to delete everything" prompt, and every time the undo, which is why you kept landing on the toolbar. Both messages now stay until they time out or you touch a key. Fixed in build 428, and in 2.1.3 on the App Store.
Build 428
Fixed the messages part👍🏼
BUT : undo doesn’t restore the complete sentence.
So when we swipe to delete, the words are deleted one by one till we reach the last 1/3 of the keyboard when we get the option to delete everything. So when we undo only the words deleted after the confirmation message reappears, the ones deleted one by one is not restored.
@Nikhil.tom the undo was only putting back what got deleted when you let go. The words the same swipe removed one by one on the way to the zone were saved, but undo never used them. Now it restores the whole thing in one tap: those words, anything deleted by holding ⌫ before the swipe, and the rest of the text. If you swiped back right to bring a word back before letting go, it won't come back twice. Fixed in build 429, and in 2.1.3 on the App Store.
@efko so sorry, I have edited my message. Minor bug persists. 👆🏼
Works perfectly as intended. 430 👍🏼
