Amazing keyboard! Just a small microphone issue
Steps to reproduce
- Open EFKey and activate the microphone.
- Select a microphone session duration (I’ve tested both the recommended 5 minutes and 12 hours).
- Return to another app and use voice dictation normally.
- After some time, try using voice dictation again.
The issue occurs intermittently, so I haven’t identified a reliable way to reproduce it every time.
What I expected
The microphone should remain available for the selected duration, allowing me to start dictating directly from the keyboard without having to reopen EFKey.
What happened instead
Sometimes, even though the selected duration hasn’t expired, the keyboard says the microphone is not activated and asks me to reopen EFKey to activate it again.
I’ve experienced this with several duration settings, including 12 hours and the recommended 5 minutes.

@toomuchmap I know about this one. It was already on my list when 2.2 went out, but for that release I put my time into the typing engine. In 2.2.1, the next App Store update, dictation gets smarter and more reliable.
I've tested with 460. Had no problems within the duration of about 20 minutes keeping the microphone active.
