Adding a hyphen then typing the word after the hyphen wipes out the word before the hyphen and the hyphen

App Store Released Typing & autocorrect Normal fixed in 2.2

Kirby ·

Steps to reproduce

  1. Type a hyphenated word, e.g. "real-life", and more often than not the "real-" is wiped out, leaving only "life".

What I expected

The entire hyphenated word "real-life" should remain

What happened instead

I ended up with "life" only.

@Kirby it happens when the part after the hyphen is swiped and you then tap a suggestion in the bar: the keyboard still treated that tap as a pick for the whole "real-life" and replaced all of it. Typing it out and hitting space was never affected, which is why it only hit some of the time. Fixed for 2.2, the next App Store update: the tap now replaces only the swiped word and "real-" stays.
