Swipe to delete conflicting with long press deletion
Steps to reproduce
- Type some text
- Touch down on delete key
- Wait
- Begin swiping to delete
- Swipe back to undelete
What I expected
Undelete restoring all deleted text
What happened instead
Undelete only restores text deleted by swipe. Text deleted before, while delete was pressed, is not restorable.
I'm attaching videos of EFKey and MyKeyboard.

@glowhunter fixed, will be in 2.1.3, the next App Store update. the keyboard kept an undo trail for the swipe steps and for whole words deleted by holding, but the characters deleted in the first half second of the hold (before it switches to word-by-word) were never recorded anywhere, so swiping back had nothing to restore for them. now every character the hold deletes goes into the same trail and the swipe back returns everything the touch deleted, letter for letter. thanks for the two videos, the side-by-side made the gap obvious.
@glowhunter What about this? Can you tell me if it is DONE?
I've retested it and it's mostly working, but it's somewhat hard to undelete the first word - physically this requires swiping the delete key in the negative direction. And because it's right next to screen edge and the bumper case, it's tricky.
@glowhunter right, the words deleted by holding could only come back by dragging further right than where the swipe started, and with the delete key sitting at the edge there was about half a key of room for that. in build 427 (and 2.1.3 on the App Store) that room gets split between the held-deleted words, and once your finger reaches the right edge of the keys everything the hold deleted comes back in one go. swiping left from there deletes word by word again. would be good to know if the edge part is reachable with your bumper case
Seems to be better now! I think because it's and edge case (hehe) it can be closed now.
Nice touch on the rapid haptics feedback at the end when several words are restored at once. If that's intentional at all^^
